5 things Joy will Do for you

October 21, 2022

Merry Christmas indicates joy. Jesus is a Savior of joy. Today let’s look at what the joy of the Lord will do in your life.

1. Joy Brings The Holy Spirit On The Scene

Rejoicing has always been a means to victory throughout the Bible. Proverbs 28:12 states “When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory”. Great glory means plenty of the Holy Spirit’s presence. Anytime glory is manifested it results in healing, miracles and joy! Rejoicing is stirring up your joy.

2. Joy Strengthens You To Receive What God Has Provided

Nehemiah 8:10 states “do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength”. Joy & strength could be used interchangeably. When we need more strength we need to rejoice.

3. Joy is good medicine

Joy produces inner strength and it speeds up the healing process. It’s free medicine! Proverbs 17:22 states “A joyful heart is good medicine”. Joy is God’s medicine and it has no negative effects. So take your joy medicine daily!

4. Joy produces strength to prosper

Joyful giving pleases God and helps you as well. When you plant a seed of finances into someone else’s life or ministry, it is a seed for your own harvest.

II Corinthians 9:7 (AMP) “for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver”. God is always looking for a way to get finances to and through you!

II Corinthians 9:8 (NLT) “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”

5. Joy Attracts The Lost

“Rejoicing makes us useful. Satan makes sinners believe that if they become Christians, they will lose all enjoyment. God needs people to prove Satan a liar by letting the well of joy within them flow out in continual rejoicing, so that sinners may know that the well is there.”  C. Nuzum
