We often say God can do anything. But there’s some things He said He won’t do and I’m so glad of it! God your Heavenly Father and Jesus your Savior have a big investment in you . No matter what is complicating your life right now, there is one simple thing. God loves you. This simple truth sometimes eludes me. No matter what is big and bad—God is bigger and better.
Hebrews 13:5-6 “for God Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let you down (relax My hold on you) . Assuredly not! So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, the Lord is my Helper, I will not be seized with alarm- I will not fear or dread or be terrified. What can man do to me?”
- God Will not fail you
- God Will not give you up
- God Will never leave you without support.
- God Will not leave you helpless
- God Will not forsake you
- God Will not let you down
It’s not mere mental assent to these things that helps us overcome. We take comfort rather than worry. We encourage ourselves by not just thinking these thoughts. The scripture above indicates we “confidently and boldly say”. What are you saying?
The Lord is my Helper—He’s the best there is. He knows everything about everything. He is strong enough to really help. He really cares and loves you. Can you say “I will not be seized with alarm?” The only thing to do about fear is tell it to go. You can’t think it away. You must speak to it.
Fear- I recognize you in the thoughts that are trying to lodge themselves in my mind. I refuse you in Jesus’ name. I declare God is on my side. I declare I won’t fear or dread or be terrified. Today there are so many news items that can tempt us to fear. We must determine to not allow fear in our thoughts. Speak away and praise Him for being on your side.
