If you drive your car at night without lights you will crash. Yet many people are driving through life spiritually with no light or direction. People don’t realize that God has answers for everyday issues they face. By far the absolutely best way to get to know God is by reading your Bible daily. The psalmist wrote:
“By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path.” Psalm 119:105 (MSG)
So how do you get the wisdom from God’s Word into your life?
1.Get a plan and use it
There are so many Bible reading plans available in Bible and online. You can buy a Bible which is written chronologically. It doesn’t matter what you use- just that you decide a plan and do it! Some people don’t enjoy reading and now your phone can read the Bible to you.
2.Pray before you read and record your insights
Before I read the Bible, I like to ask God to speak to me through it. I like to keep a journal handy and record the reflections I receive or the scriptures that really are guideposts for me at this time.
