How to stay revitalized

July 6, 2022

Starting something fun is easy. Finishing takes some effort. We had the dream of building a house. We were so excited to plan and get it all together. But when winter hit and we were insulating walls in sub-zero weather with gloves, it required some tenacity.

Walking out the Christian life requires our decision.  Developing a prayer life or starting a ministry is a great idea. But whatever the plan you are implementing, it is not our work, it is God’s work in us. The first step is I get God’s plan and timing.  The energy to accomplish the plan is God’s.  The wisdom to know how to implement the plan comes from God.  It takes the pressure off me to perform. When I get God’s plan, then it is a blessed plan. God will always give us the resources to accomplish His plan. Whether it’s starting a church or raising your kids- there are resources from God of wisdom and strength. Today I want us to look at the following scripture:

“God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to accomplish the good things you desire to do” Philippians 2:13 The Passion Translation

Continual revitalizing you

God doesn’t just give you the plan and then leave you to make it happen. He will continually keep that plan fresh and keep you fresh! The Greek word energeo is translated here as revitalize. It also means to keep active, efficient, effectual, fervent, mighty. I love to use that as a confession over myself.

  • God will continually keep me active to accomplish His plan
  • God will continually make me efficient this day
  • God will cause my prayers to be effectual
  • God will use my love and actions to have fervency.
  • God will enable my labors to be mighty in accomplishing lasting results
