What troubles you? Do you need a new guitar player because one quit? Not sure what set to use this week? This is so simple we frequently spend a lot of time working things out in our minds- only to come up short with no answers. God cares about you and what you do and about everything that concerns you. So take it to the Lord in prayer. Nothing is too simple or complex. Simply stated, God wants to be involved and give you His wisdom.
If you are a parent, have you watched your child work so hard at something he simply doesn’t have the ability or strength to do? You stand by and see him struggle and you think, “if only he would let me help him, we could get this done so much faster”?
The old hymn Take it to the Lord in prayer says “have we trials and temptations, is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged. Take it to the Lord in prayer.” What is a care? Anything you are thinking about. Notice this scripture says you are to cast your care once and God will care about you.
Let Him help you for His care is both affectionate (He’s willing) and actually watching to see where He can help you. And once you give Him the care, be sure to keep it in His hand and not take it back. The way I do this is when I start thinking about it again (worrying) I say out loud “No, I’m not taking that out of God’s hands. He’s working on the project and I’m resting.”
