Strength from God has no limits. Today, let’s look at God’s supernatural strength which helps us live on a higher plane.
Habakkuk 3:19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.
Focus on the Lord’s unchanging strength
Our focus is not in the present daily changing situations of life. It’s on who God is—the unchanging One. His strength doesn’t change with the day as ours is prone to do. Because He is our Father, He longs to show His strength. Strength can be physical, it can be mental, it can be spiritual- but God’s strength will work in every arena. When we are facing challenges, He is more than enough strength in any area of life.
Walking in God’s steps
The hind is a female deer who lives in the mountains and is considered the most sure-footed animal in the most challenging mountain terrain. It is said that her rear feet step in exactly the same spot as her front so she is walking consistently to higher places. The image for us is to be led by the Spirit of God. Our steps are ordered of the Lord. As we consistently follow Him, we move higher in our walk spiritually as well as every area of life.
Living in a higher place
There are higher places for us in knowing Him. There are higher places in following God’s Spirit for our jobs. There are higher places in our relationships. There are higher places for us to live physically and emotionally. There is daily revelation from God’s Word. As we follow it we always move higher.
