Personal Devotions Prayer

Do you Ask God Questions?

June 3, 2022

Many times we pray but fail to listen and ask God questions. We often are more disrespectful in how we talk to God than we are with other people. For a meaningful discussion, there is generally  a two-way discussion with input from both parties.

When Paul met Jesus in his vision, he stated:

Acts 9:6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Because God is a gentleman, he won’t force his way into your life or give you unrequested counsel. Most of God’s dealings with us come as a result of us initiating something. For example, God wants all to be saved, but He waits for us to call upon and receive Him.

How frequently in times of prayer, do you finish with the words “Lord, is there anything else you want me to pray for? Is there anything today I can do for you?”

Questions To Ask About Your Personal Growth In The Lord:

  • What area of my life do you want to work on?
  • What do you want me to give financially?
  • How should I be investing my time?
  • Whom am I really serving with my talents?
  • What people or things do I spend most of my time praying about?
