I was thinking about brands and how they come and go with time. Famous athletes have their day in the spotlight but with time they grow old and leave their sport. Movie stars and musicians come and go with each successive generation. Politicians have their day and then pass. Our God alone will be famous forever! He’s never out of date. He never fades with time. He will be remembered forever and ever.
God’s Fame is in His Name
My name only designates me from a crowd. God’s names include His character. When we say Father—it denotes who He is and what He does. When we say Provider it reminds us of how He has provided through the ages for His people. We each have a history with God and His faithfulness personally. We have a testimony of His fame and reality in our lives.
Tell About Your Story
This testimony of how God has been faithful to me is what the world longs to hear. Let’s remember to tell our stories any time we can about how God has been Healer, Deliverer, Savior, Friend to us! When we tell our story to our family and neighbors, we ensure His fame passes to every generation.
