God is interested in meeting every financial need we have. In Paul’s letter to the Philippians, the context of chapter 4 was finances.
“I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!” Philippians 4:19 The Passion Translation
Once you realize that salvation includes soundness in every area of life, you can believe He cares about your financial needs being met. He provides you with a supply through Jesus. When you are fully supplied financially you have peace. Peace means nothing missing and nothing broken.
Throughout the Bible we see God feeding His people with physical food for their bodies as well as spiritual food for their spirits. In other words, He cares about you- spirit, soul and body. Having financial surplus brings peace to your soul. But today I want to encourage you to believe this Scripture that God wants to fully satisfy every financial need you have as well.
Is your need a salary? Is your need a vehicle? Is your need a piece of equipment for your ministry? He doesn’t want you to do without and He’s merely waiting for you to ask Him and receive by faith the need met. While you wait for it to come to pass, praise Him that it’s on its way and when it comes give Him the glory for the provision.
I used to think it wasn’t good manners to ask for things. But John 16:24 records Jesus saying “ask and keep on asking Him! And you can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits”. When you ask for a need it will not take away from someone else for God to provide it. He is unlimited in His supply. So go ahead and ask and then you will be in a position to bless others!
