3 reasons to trust God

October 13, 2020

Trust is sometimes challenging. When people have proven untrustworthy, sometimes we think God will let us down too. But He never will let us down. Early in my life I realized I didn’t know everything but God does. I have also discovered God cannot lie and His love never fails. One of my favorite verses is:

“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.” Proverbs 3:5-6 The Passion Translation

1. God cannot lie

Not only will God not lie, He cannot lie. What He has stated in the Bible is His Word to you. Whenever something doesn’t appear to be working, you can count on the connection isn’t on God’s end. When He says “I will never leave you or forsake you” He absolutely will hold up that promise. When He says “my God shall supply all your needs” He can be depended upon.

2. God’s love is unconditional

Since God loved you before you loved Him, His love is not a response to your actions. His love initiated a relationship with you and is unlike any other kind of love. Human love will withdraw when it isn’t reciprocated. God’s love will never fail even when you and I fail to respond to it. “When we were unloving, God loved us first”

3. God knows everything about everything

Few people are specialists in many fields. God is wise in every area. He knows the answers to financial problems and marriage problems. He knows what will fulfill you and bless you and what won’t work for you. He knows your future as well as your past because He’s not limited by time. Therefore, when we ask for His wisdom we can trust Him to impart it.
