3 things about your divine destiny (Ephesians 2:10)

September 24, 2020

It’s great to know you are created by God with a unique plan and purpose. When God made you He placed the talents and the desire for what He made you to do and be in this life. Today let’s look at Ephesians 2:10 and 3 things about our destiny.

“We have become his poetry, a recreated people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” Ephesians 2:10 TPT

You are God’s poetry. A poem is a uniquely created set of words that is unlike any other literary work. It may have meter and rhyme or alliteration or tell a story. Do you ever think of your life as a poem? God didn’t make you an assembly line robot. Instead, you are unique with your own character. This is because nobody can be you.

You have your own voice and talents. You have your unique humor and quirkiness. And God loves to hear your voice. So what does it mean to be God’s Workmanship?

1. His works are in you– and it’s not your works for Him, but His works in you

This life is not about trying to do good works to please God. God created you with everything in you needed to accomplish your destiny.

2. You don’t need to compare yourself with others

You can be assured there need be no comparison with someone else. There are no better moms or better pastors than you. Just be yourself.

3. You have a unique place nobody else can fill

God has a calling for you and it’s your responsibility to confer with Him to discover it! You don’t arrive at birth with a direction card that tells what you are destined to become. When you get to know God, He will show you by your desires and gifts just where you fit. Every believer fits into a church where his gifts and talents bring strength to the vision of that church family.
