Fearless to fulfill your calling

May 27, 2020

Although we live in a world filled with fear, it isn’t God’s plan that we experience it in our daily lives. The Bible is filled with real people who faced genuine fears in their lives. Some overcame and others didn’t.  It’s important to remember that God is never the source of fear. In fact knowing and believing His love is the antidote to fear.

Psalm 27:1 (MSG) So, with (God) on my side I’m fearless, afraid of no one and nothing.

We all are called to fulfill the purpose for our lives. There is value in preparation and knowing God’s timing for implementing the plan. There will be several ways fear will attempt to stop you.

  • Fear can come through people
  • Fear can come through negative circumstances.
  • Fear of failure can stop you from attempting to step out.
  • Fear can come through not wanting to disappoint others.

The purpose of fear is to get you to stop.

Rehearsing past victories is one way to encourage yourself that God has brought you through in the past and He will do it again. Finally, remembering you have a covenant with God who will always be on your side will ground you in God’s love when fearful thoughts attempt to stop you.

Romans 8:31 states “If God is with us, no one can defeat us.”
