When you realize the nature of God is what is described in Psalm 145:8-9, you can always trust His heart. The Lord is good to all- not just his friends, not just his children, but to all! You sometimes may feel you don’t deserve His love. But His nature doesn’t require you to be perfect in order to receive His goodness.
Psalm 145:8-9 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
The Word of God says God is full of compassion.
His compassion longs to help you out when you hurt. It moves to eliminate your hurt. Jesus was moved with the feeling of your infirmity. Jesus really has lived where we live, so He really does understand what you are going through. He paid the price for you to totally conquer every obstacle. Jesus and God are slow to anger- they are long-suffering with us.
His tender mercies (plural) are over all his works.
The mercy of forgiveness as well as the mercy of healing are included in God’s mercies. In other words, He wants you whole in spirit, in soul and in body. And all these were accomplished by Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. So you may come confidently based on Jesus’ works to receive His mercies whether it be forgiveness for your spirit or healing for your body or restoration in your soul. Come expecting His mercies today! It has been said that God’s heart of love is like the ocean suspended above you, longing for some little place that will open itself to His vast ocean of mercies!
Prayer: Lord we give You place today to shower your mercies in this place as our Father of mercies.
