I have not seen Jesus with my physical eyes. But I know He is real. I know what Jesus has revealed to me about the love of God. John had seen Jesus with his eyes and was giving us a testimony about Him in the following passage:
“So we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard about this Life-Giver (Jesus) so that we may share and enjoy this life together.” 1 John 1:3 The Passion Translation
We proclaim Jesus to the world because He is so wonderful! He died for me so I could know the Heavenly Father. He was beaten so I could be healed physically. He took my distress so I can live in peace and joy. He revealed through His shed blood that God loved me enough to send his own son to take my place.
The purpose of me sharing Jesus with you and my neighbors is so you can share and enjoy this wonderful life with me. I want you to live a better life on this earth. And when you die, I want you to live with me forever in heaven. That’s why we share Jesus.
There is no better friend you will ever have than Jesus. He won’t leave you. He won’t turn from you. Simply receive Jesus as your savior and you will have God’s very divine presence through His Holy Spirit live with you. Then the rest of your time on earth will be with His help. And eternity will be spent getting to know God the Father even better.
Jesus actually walked the earth as a man and history records the fact. But thousands also give testimony that He has changed their lives. Jesus is not merely a historic figure, but Jesus is my dearest friend.
If you have never received Jesus as your Savior, I encourage you to do what I did as a teenager. Simply believe Jesus died for you and rose from the dead. Talk to God and say “Dear God, thank you for loving me enough to send your Son Jesus to die for me. I accept Jesus as my Savior. Forgive me of my sin and come into my life. Thank you. And now get in a good Bible teaching church and learn more about Him and the life you have received. Talk to God daily and read the New Testament to discover who Jesus is and what He has given to you.
